GreenYellow, a French multinational, has implemented a 6,93 MWp photovoltaic solar farm in the city of Milagres, located in the interior of Bahia. The company expects the photovoltaic plant to produce 12,4 GWh annually.

The company was also responsible for the construction of a solar roof located on an istrative building in the city, which was donated to the municipality, along with tables and benches produced with residual materials from the construction of the plant and which will benefit a local daycare center.

The roof will have an annual production of 37,2 MWh and will be able to avoid the emission of 1,4 tons of CO2 per year.

“The inauguration of the photovoltaic plant is a historic milestone for Milagres. This partnership with GreenYellow represents our commitment to the future, bringing clean energy, sustainability and economic development to our city. We are proud to see Milagres and the entire region moving forward more and more,” he highlighted. Cesar de Adério, mayor of Milagres.

This is not the first time that GreenYellow has carried out initiatives to communities in the cities where it implements solar plant infrastructure. “This year, we held educational talks for 350 children at a municipal school and donated tables and benches in Cajuru, in the interior of São Paulo,” reported Silvia Boccia, GreenYellow’s Corporate Relations Coordinator.

“In Américo de Campos, also in the interior of São Paulo, in addition to educational lectures, we took children to plant tree seedlings to reforest a region. These and other actions – such as the annual social and environmental impact project, EcoDay – are part of our commitment to increasing the positive impact on the communities in which we operate,” concluded Silvia.
