The French multinational GreenYellow opened a solar farm with 3,25 MWp of installed capacity in the city of Cajuru, in the interior of São Paulo. With annual production estimated at 6,3 GWh, the plant will provide renewable energy capable of serving 3,1 homes. The value of the investment was not disclosed.

The company also built a solar roof at the municipal public school EMEB André Ruggeri, in partnership with the local city hall and the inverter manufacturer Sunrow. “The system adopted for the construction of this roof consists of 34 photovoltaic modules of 335 Wp, totaling 11,39 kWp of installed power, to meet 75,48% of the estimated average consumption”, says the company in a press release.

According to GreenYellow, educational lectures were also held for 350 children at the municipal school, in addition to the donation of 40 tables and 120 benches made with waste from the plant's construction

“In addition to the demand for local labor that the implementation of the plants provides, GreenYellow works, due to its intrinsic values, for the development of people in the places where it chooses to build its projects. The company has already established partnerships with other companies and with municipal authorities in several cities for improvements that benefit the population and the objective is to continue with these actions in a sustainable way”, says Marília Damião, Marketing and Innovation manager at GreenYellow.
