A Helexia, subsidiary of Voltalia Energy, dedicated to the renewable energy sector, signed a contract with Commerce Energy, which operates in energy management solutions in Brazil. The agreement provides for the supply of up to 90 MW of power of photovoltaic energy.
The investment will be allocated to a series of DG (distributed generation) projects for a period of 20 years, the first of which will be started in the coming months, with 11 MW. The first commissioning is scheduled for first quarter of 2024.
With the aim of strengthening Helexia's presence in Brazil, the plants will be installed in the Brazilian states of Mato Grosso do Sul, Ceará and Pernambuco. It is estimated that the next installations will begin gradually.
According to Benjamin Simonis, CEO of the Helexia Group, this agreement marks an important milestone in Helexia's commitment to Brazil. “The signed 90 MW should allow Helexia to accelerate the transition to a more sustainable future. We are delighted to collaborate with Comerc Energia to achieve this shared vision.”
“I congratulate all the teams for this quick ramp-up in Brazil. Helexia is positioning itself as a leader in the energy transition in a country where decarbonization objectives are very important,” said Sébastien Clerc, CEO of Voltalia.
