How to correctly choose cables for photovoltaic installations?

Experts will address the main questions about technical standards and precautions to avoid accidents

The Prysmian Group is holding this Tuesday (13), starting at 18 pm, the webinar “Solar Energy: the importance of choosing the right cables for installation”. A of experts, made up of professionals from the group and guests, will discuss good practices for specifying power cables for photovoltaic systems in light of the ABNT NBR 16612 standard.

Aspects about the construction and application of solar cables, the options available on the market considering copper and aluminum conductors will be covered, in addition to exemplifying them in installation scenarios, starting from the solar s to the string boxes and then to the inverters.

The debate will above all reinforce safety in these installations, as choosing the appropriate cables for photovoltaic systems is essential to avoid serious accidents such as short circuits or direct current arcing.
