The search for solar energy should gain an even greater boost with the 2,4% adjustment in electricity bill rates. According to the ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency), the increase is a reflection of the new budget for the CDE (Energy Development ), which is shared among all Brazilian consumers.
The assessment is by Eduardo Villas Boas, commercial director of Go Solar, a distributor of photovoltaic equipment in Brazil. For the executive, the photovoltaic source provides a reduction in electricity costs, increases the competitiveness of companies and relieves the budget of public authorities, benefiting small, medium and large consumers in Brazil.
“Solar systems on roofs and small plots of land are an important alternative at the current time of scarce resources, when consumers are pressured to look for effective ways to reduce expenses and preserve their financial reserves”, highlights Villas Boas.
The executive also points out that the crisis caused by the pandemic accentuated the search for a solar solution. “With the Covid-19 pandemic and, consequently, the quarantine, the greatest energy consumption has migrated, in part, from companies to homes, and consumers are seeing their energy bills increase, which makes it even more economically viable photovoltaic technology”, he adds.
The alternative found by companies and families to alleviate this scenario has been to invest in obtaining a solar energy system, which can be financed and lasts for more than 25 years. Furthermore, payback has been estimated at between three and seven years.
Financing lines for solar energy
Today there are several solar energy financing lines available in the country, which allow you to pay the installment with your own savings on your energy bill, making the acquisition of photovoltaic systems more accessible, as there is no need to spend your own resources.
“A well-designed photovoltaic system can reduce consumers’ electricity costs by up to 95%. The savings generated allow the to allocate resources to other essential needs, such as food, health and education”, points out the Go Solar executive.
