A Bold Energy distributor, together with Sofa Solar, inaugurated, at the end of September, in Irati (SC), a plant de 452 kWp of installed power. In total, we used four inverters da Sofa de 75 kW (380 V) and 800 bifacial s 540 W JA Solar.

“This business model, popularly known as 'investment plant', has been gaining strength in regions where cooperatives have a high demand for energy due to the origin of their business and are constantly looking for more viable, sustainable and low environmental impact energy alternatives to the rural setting”, commented José Vitor Salm, director of Bold.

The executive highlighted that, once potential consumers have been identified, photovoltaic systems in DG (distributed generation), such as Irati, will be made possible by investors who will offer a more attractive energy value to of a cooperative.

“In this way, cooperative can enjoy an energy tariff between 8% and 20% lower than the local energy concessionaire, depending on the tariff flag in force”, reported Salm.

Currently, this business model is made possible by companies that manage and sell energy, such as Cotesa. The company is responsible for all contractual aspects between investors and and, in addition, manages the purchase and sale of electricity generated in the “investment plants”.
