The MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy) published this Friday (22) in the Official Gazette of the Union an ordinance and two resolutions that regulate the holding of an energy auction and public calls for tenders aimed at isolated systems (Sisol). The total investment forecast is R$ 820 million.
A Normative Ordinance No. 92/2024 establishes the guidelines for the Sisol Supply Auction, scheduled for May 2025. The event foresees the contracting of 49,7 MW of power and investments estimated at R$ 452 million.
Three lots will be offered to serve 169 people in 10 municipalities, 9 in Amazonas and 1 in Pará. Supply is scheduled to begin on December 20, 2027, with contracts lasting 15 years.
One of the innovations of the auction is the requirement that, at a minimum, 22% of the contracted energy is generated from renewable sources, with or without storage systems.
The Energy Research Company (EPE) must publish, within 30 days, the registration instructions and technical requirements for qualification, available on its official website. Registration of proposals will be open until 12:20 p.m. on February 2025, XNUMX. The National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL) prepare the notice and adopt the necessary measures to carry out the auction.
Public calls for the Legal Amazon
In addition to the auction, the MME released the Resolutions No. 18 e No. 19, which aim to select projects aimed at reducing structural costs of energy generation in the Isolated Systems of the Legal Amazon, as part of the Pró-Amazônia Legal program.
Proposals can be submitted until February 21, 2025, and the final result will be announced on April 18, 2025. Investments of R$372 million are expected.
Projects that present the greatest cost reduction for the CCC (Fuel Consumption ), reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and socioeconomic benefits for the region will be prioritized.
The following may participate in the public call:
- Eletrobras;
- Distributors operating in the Legal Amazon;
- Electric power generators;
- Associations, research institutions and equipment suppliers in the energy sector.
Proposed solutions may include:
- Replacement of own or leased generation by renewable sources or renewable fuels, with or without storage;
- Energy efficiency projects;
- Reduction of losses in the system.
