The prices of the main inputs in the photovoltaic chain remained stable or ed small reductions between the beginning of May and the beginning of June, according to a survey by the international consultancy InfoLink Consulting. The company's weekly monitoring follows the prices of essential materials for the manufacture of solar systems, such as polysilicon, wafers, cells and modules.

According to the latest data, collected on June 4, the price of polysilicon remained stable at US$19,00/kg. Type N wafers, on the other hand, fell by 5,5% in the period, going from US$0,127 to US$0,120 per unit. Photovoltaic cells also recorded a slight decline: PERC technology fell from US$0,037/W to US$0,036/W, while TOPCon models went from US$0,036/W to US$0,033/W.

In the module segment, prices remained unchanged. TOPCon models remained quoted at US$ 0,088/W, while HJT (heterojunction) maintained the value of US$ 0,100/W, the same level recorded at the beginning of May.

Price comparison between the first weeks of May and June

  • May: US$0,088/W

  • June: US$0,088/W (stable)

HJT (heterojunction) modules

  • May: US$0,100/W

  • June: US$0,100/W (stable)

2025 accumulated figures show falling prices

In comparison with the early January This year, the prices of the main inputs in the solar chain have declined — with the exception of polysilicon, which remained at the same level, according to the Infolink Consulting. Wafers, for example, saw a 33% reduction in five months, falling from US$0,180 to US$0,120 per unit.

Cells also fell: PERC technology went from US$0,039/W to US$0,036/W, and TOPCon fell from US$0,039/W to US$0,033/W. Among modules, the movement was also one of retraction. TOPCon models fell from US$0,090/W to US$0,088/W, while HJT models went from US$0,105/W to the current US$0,100/W.
