A Ludfor Energia and Lemon Soda signed a partnership in three solar plants in Minas Gerais. The projects add up 6,5 MW of power and fall under the distributed generation modality.
With the agreement, Ludfor, through its generation arm Origem Energia, will rely on digital services provided by Lemon Energia, which provides solar energy on a subscription basis.
On the other hand, Lemon expands its operations in its main location, in Minas Gerais. The startup offers a discount on the electricity bill of between 10% and 20% for small businesses, depending on the region and the type of clean energy plant.
The three solar plants will be integrated into the marketplace throughout the second half of the year, with the potential to add around 1,2 end customers to the startup's base.
Origem Energia has investments and shares in 43 energy generation plants, made up of small hydroelectric plants and photovoltaic plants. In total, the company will have 117 MW of installed capacity.
Created in 2019, Lemon is present in Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Mato Grosso do Sul, Distrito Federal and Goiás. According to the startup, its more than 5 thousand customers have already saved R$9 million on their electricity bills and helped avoid the emission of 7 thousand tons of CO2.
