The agreement between the companies GreenYellow, Enersim and Oeste Solar, signed in 2023, began the construction of two photovoltaic plants in the state of Mato Grosso, which total 12,56 MW in of installed capacity, generating 24 GWh of clean energy annually.
According to the companies, the system implemented in the city of Nova Ubiratã has already been connected to the network of the distributor and Alta Floresta is in the finalization phase. The energy generated by the plants has the capacity to supply up to 12 thousand homes and the ability to avoid the emission of more than 900 tons of CO2 into the environment.
Tiago Vianna, director of the Oeste Solar and Enersim Group, emphasized the importance of the projects that resulted from the partnership with the French energy transition multinational.
"The group has the expertise to carry out the entire process of implementing solar plants, from construction to maintenance in the distributed generation modality, and in these projects it chose to establish a partnership with GreenYellow”, he said.
“Since 2018 on the market, Enersim, an energy management company, has managed the credits for generated electricity. The best thing is that We are helping everyone to have access to clean energy, sustainable, and more affordable”, stated Vianna.
Second Marcelo Xavier, CEO of GreenYellow, the company's role as an infrastructure player, which includes everything from the investment stage to the construction, maintenance and operation of projects, is key to the growth of new renewable energy generation projects in Brazil.
“The initiatives of companies like GreenYellow, which work with their own investment, represent an important stimulus to the national energy market. Our strategy in this regard is to continue injecting capital into the Brazilian segment throughout 2024, with a forecast of R$400 million in investment in 2024”, he emphasized.
Job creation
Another beneficial measure is the generation of direct and indirect jobs in the municipalities where photovoltaic projects are being built. Valdemar Gambá, mayor of Alta Floresta, highlighted that the arrival of the plant's investments in the city had a positive impact on the commerce and services sector.
“In addition to the production of clean energy, we benefit from the generation of jobs and income in the municipality. The company is very welcome, as are the others that invest in Alta Floresta, as we are experiencing a moment of fantastic growth”, he concluded.
