A OAB SP (Brazilian Bar Association São Paulo Section) announced two new notices for the construction of photovoltaic plants, integrating the energy transition project. According to planning, it is planned to installation of 15 plants by the end of 2025.
The project will enable the change of the energy matrix in the institution's more than 500 service points and will provide a savings of R$2,25 million per year.
“The total investment is low if we consider the benefits in the medium term. We estimate a cost of up to R$12 million, with payback in five years”, pointed out Alexandre de Sá Domingues, treasurer director of OAB SP.
The OAB SP energy transition project began in March this year, with the construction of a pilot plant at the institution's summer camp, in the municipality of Três Fronteiras, close to the border with Mato Grosso do Sul.
The installation integrates 200 550W modules, which feed 75 kW of inverters. According to the institution, the plant has already generated more than 112.000 MWh, a saving of approximately R$12 thousand per month, since the beginning of its operation.
“Considering data from the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, the carbon emission value per kWh in Brazil is 0,5317 kg of CO² per kWh, that is, this pilot plant alone will provide a reduction of 95 tons in emissions annual CO²”, stated Alexandre de Sá.
Furthermore, the director highlighted that to achieve the goal of 15 plants installed by 2025, OAB SP counts on the of the Subsection directors. “We already have more than 50 subsections that have shown interest in receiving a photovoltaic plant and we are evaluating those locations that have the best space and solar exposure conditions to receive a plant”, he added.
OAB SP's next photovoltaic system, located in Mogi das Cruzes (SP), is already being completed and should start operating later this year. The plant is expected to generate 7.975 kWh/month, to feed the EDP concessionaire's distribution network and supply 13 OAB SP service points.
In addition to the plants already installed, six subsections of OAB SP have photovoltaic projects, namely Aguaí, Miracatu, Santa Fé do Sul, Santa Rita do a Quatro, Tatuí and Teodoro Sampaio. In these locations, the modules supply the demand of the subsections, but do not generate energy for the distribution network.

Congratulations to OAB. Great example from our lawyers
very good text
Okay, the news is great, but where do you access the notices?
