O ONS (National System Operator) was unsuccessful when trying to hire study consultancy of influential variables and development of a forecasting model solar source generation.

The operator received two proposals: from the t venture Clima Tempo and PSR, formed by the meteorology company Clima Tempo and PSR Soluções e Consultoria em Energia; and the CGPD/Uconnn t venture, formed by the Center for Research, Development and Innovation Management and the University of Connecticut.

“At this stage, the ONS evaluated the technical proposals and released the result to companies on 02/05/2023. According to the criteria established in the SDP (Solar Subproject), no proponent was qualified and, therefore, the process was considered failed”, stated the Authority.

According to the ONS, given the importance of this project and the benefits that come from it for the operation, a new tender will be held, this time, in a different format. The ONS believes that this action could open up the opportunity for other companies to participate in the bidding, including those that were unable to qualify in the current process.

“If there are no resources and the deadline for filing a complaint ends, the ONS will revoke the process to continue with this subproject.”
