The load in the first two months of 2021 should have significant growth when compared to 2020. This is what the ONS (National Electric System Operator) estimates.
According to the operator, the indexes should rise 3,9% and 2,4% in January and February, respectively in the country. In the Southeast and Central-West, the increases should be 3,9% and 3,2%.
According to the ONS, this expansion is due to the increase in temperatures in the next period compared to that recorded at the beginning of 2020.
Until 2025, the company works with the prospect of average annual growth of 3,6% of cargo and 3,0% of GDP (Gross Domestic Product) – influenced by the high statistical load of 2020.
Other data
After 2022, the operator said he expects a more stable economic environment to allow an increase in agent confidence, recovery of the job market and expansion of domestic demand.
“The acceleration of global growth will bring greater impetus to the export sectors, especially commodities. Greater economic stability will also provide a more significant resumption of investments in the coming years, with emphasis on the infrastructure sector, generating effects on the economy's productivity”.
