The ONS (National Electric System Operator) recorded, for the second consecutive day, another record-breaking instantaneous load demand in the SIN (National Interconnected System).

On the afternoon of this Wednesday (12), at 14:42 pm, the values initially determined by the Operator indicated that demand reached the historic mark of 103.785 MW.

This was the third record recorded this year, suring the levels measured on February 11th e January 22,, when 103.335 MW and 102.810 MW were verified, respectively.

According to the ONS, instantaneous demand for cargo has been directly impacted by weather conditions and high temperatures recorded in different regions of the country.

“The SIN has fully met the growing demand for load that has been recorded over the last few weeks, which demonstrates that the Brazilian electrical system is robust and operates safely,” the entity highlighted in a note sent to the press.
