With the aim of meeting the new needs of the solar energy and electric mobility market, which are in an accelerated stage of development, PHB Solar is expanding the product portfolio for integrators.
During 2023 Intersolar, presented his most recent solutions to vehicle electrification, energy storage, hybrid inverters e off-grid, besides the on-grid solutions traditional products already known on the market.
Second Fernando Schmidt e Ivan Sarturi, electrical engineers da PHB Solar, in addition to equipment for fast charging, in DC (direct current), products for charging and charging management were also displayed.
The 102 kW charging station has three connectors: 1 CCS2, for fast recharging made with direct current, up to 80 kW, 1 CHAdeMO, also for DC recharging up to 80 kW, and another connector, type 2, for AC (current alternating), 22 kW.
A 40 kW wall-mounted DC charging station was also presented, which features a CCS2 connector. “This solution has a more attractive cost, in addition to requiring less physical space for installation and a less robust electrical infrastructure”, they highlighted.
According to the engineers, the advantage of recharging using direct current is that in addition to greater power (less recharging time), it is a process that is independent of the vehicle's own converter, meaning that the recharging power is not left behind. limited to this integrated converter.
“Often the vehicle can offer an on-board converter of 7,4 kW or less. In these cases, if connected to a 22 kW three-phase charging station, recharging will inevitably be limited to the power of the on-board converter (not only the current, but also the number of phases)”, they explained.
Hybrid and off-grid storage and inverters
With the recent changes in the law and Inmetro Ordinance No. 140, new market trends have emerged. To meet them, PHB presented its new line of hybrid inverters, with models of 3,6 kW, 5 kW and 6 kW in the single-phase line and 20 kW for the three-phase line.
According to Schmidt and Sarturi, single-phase hybrid inverters can be paired with lead-acid batteries or the PHB lithium battery, with 48 V and 4,86 kWh of useful energy.
The three-phase line operates in conjunction with PHB's high voltage lithium battery, and can reach up to 230,4 kWh of storage in its largest battery bank capacity. “All inverters are certified by Inmetro for approval at the dealership”, they stated.
retrofit solar UPS
During Intersolar, participants were also able to see the retrofit solar UPS solution. This product makes it possible for the on-grid inverter to turn off in the event of a utility grid failure, but its modules are automatically transferred to an off-grid inverter, which feeds the priority loads, also using batteries (lead- acid or lithium).
On-grid inverters and photovoltaic modules
At the event, PHB presented its entire line, which ranges from 1,5 kW to 250 kW, with inverters with phase-to-neutral voltages of 127 V and 220 V and in the three-phase line, phase-to-phase voltages of 220 V and 380 V .
“In the area of photovoltaic modules, we currently work with Jinko, Longi, JA and Astronergy, all of which are in the Top 10 worldwide. We highlight the great reliability of these brands, cutting-edge technologies and guaranteed power delivery”, concluded the PHB Solar engineers.
