PL 5829 and the future of energy consumption

Historically, the prominent dates that are currently marked included collective mobilizations for a common good. Organization of groups to question and defend fair causes regarding democracy, economic development and better job opportunities.

I compare this scenario with the current situation in which the solar sector finds itself, one step away from the legal framework being voted on. Representative entities are organizing themselves so that unity makes strength and, as some advocate, to allow the country to allow solar energy to grow. At this moment, solar energy is becoming an issue in the Chamber of Deputies through Bill 5829 by Representative Silas Câmara/Republicans, proposing a legal and regulatory framework for the electricity sector.

I assess, regardless of political interests or economic groups, that the approval of PL 5829 is essential, which will result in legal certainty and consequent expansion of investments in the Brazilian electricity sector. It is a benefit for the entire population, given the importance and use of renewable energy at different levels, as well as in of sustainability.

The generation of electrical energy through photovoltaic s already has technologies with competitive prices for large-scale use. Together, we are in one of the best geographical regions for the incidence of solar irradiation, a natural advantage that must be taken advantage of.

From a businessman's point of view, I see own energy generation as increasingly fundamental in of competitiveness and sustainability for small, medium and large companies. In addition, the agribusiness sector has had a positive impact on the Brazilian economy, as shown by recent Gross Domestic Product figures, and which can benefit from solar energy.

This optimism is not just mine, the International Energy Agency estimates that the world's demand for renewable energy should increase by 50% by 2024. Responsible behavior is based on sunlight and not just on the level of Brazil. China, for example, one of the most polluting countries in the world, has been making moves in favor of solar energy and the government has started to encourage, with financial , those who buy an electric car.

Society is showing signs, showing greater concern when incorporating this type of consumption and we can only it so that the union strengthens the segment even further.
