Qn-Solar said it is making steady progress with its application for BNEF’s (BloombergNEF) Tier 1 module manufacturer list. To date, the company has confirmed five projects that meet the Tier 1 criteria, with an additional venture currently under discussion.

The list is widely considered a crucial benchmark for assessing the bankability of suppliers, playing a vital role in guiding investment decisions for projects around the world.

Among the plants underway is a 5 MW ground-mounted plant in Svishtov, Bulgaria – scheduled for completion in early 2025. This is the manufacturer’s first publicly announced achievement that meets BNEF’s requirements.

The main objective of this system is to minimize operating costs and decrease dependence on traditional energy sources for an agricultural facility in the city – thus promoting environmental sustainability and contributing to the long-term economic development of the region.

“We are extremely pleased with our collaboration with Qn-Solar. From the initial consultation to the installation of the system, their professionalism was outstanding. The team ensured that the s and inverters were perfectly suited to our needs and delivered the project on time. Their excellent communication ensured smooth progress throughout the process,” said Spas Spasov, Technical Director of the project.

Advancement of PV technology

In addition to its ongoing PV projects, Qn-Solar said it is actively pursuing perovskite solar cell technology, which has the potential to achieve higher efficiency and lower costs for future s.

The company is continuing to explore opportunities in the hydrogen energy sector, collaborating with industry leaders to integrate hydrogen technology with solar power to create a more sustainable energy future.
