Renovigi Energia Solar launches off-grid solar energy system

Solution uses lithium battery to store energy and is ideal for use in isolated locations

Aiming to strengthen the energy storage segment in Brazil, photovoltaic systems manufacturer Renovigi Energia Solar has launched a new off-grid system.

According to the company, the equipment consists of a lithium battery that allows energy storage during periods when there is no generation.

Furthermore, it works completely independent of the electrical grid, making it ideal for use in isolated locations that would require significant investment for connection.

“The solution is not specific to agribusiness, but it certainly offers a great attraction for this segment of activity, mainly benefiting more distant properties, as it eliminates the need to extend power cabling to connect to the grid. In addition to reducing costs and avoiding possible losses resulting from the lack of electricity”, highlights Antonio Carlos Federico, director of Commercial, Marketing and New Business at Renovigi Energia Solar.

One of the main objectives of the off-grid system is to bring greater security in places where there is no electrical network or where the customer needs uninterrupted supply, increasing supply reliability, especially in activities in which power interruption can generate significant losses, as in agribusiness.

The executive also highlights that Renovigi's off-grid system is simple to use, easy to install, has a compact size and is lightweight, and can be installed on the floor or suspended using a . “And this is just the beginning of a lot of innovation and new products aimed at the storage area that Renovigi is planning for 2021”, comments Federico.

José Vitor Salm, Research, Development and Technical manager at Renovigi, explains that the battery has an integrated manager, which activates it automatically when there is no generation, optimizing system performance.

“It is an innovative system, as there is intelligent communication between the inverter and the battery, allowing maximum efficiency and greater control over energy management”, explains Salm.

“It took eight months of tests, prototypes, errors and successes by the research and development team to arrive at the ideal product, with a balance between the pain of the market and Renovigi's solution, as we always think about innovating and doing something different so that companies expectations of our final or accredited customer are always exceeded, so that the value that the company delivers is a differentiator”.

Renovigi's off-grid system allows you to associate four 9,6 kWh batteries per inverter and up to ten inverters to increase capacity.

“The inverter has several internal and external protections that guarantee greater reliability. It stands out, among other features, for its greater current capacity for charging and discharging, lower startup voltage, s greater input current from photovoltaic modules, has lower output current and is lighter and more efficient than similar products available. on the market”, adds Salm.

“Furthermore, it eliminates the need to install a charge controller, considering that the inverter itself performs this function, and there are also no parallel connections between the s: they are all connected in series up to the inverter, which increases safety and reliability”, concludes Salm.

  1. Tesla already has a system called power wall outside of Brazil unfortunately... Hopefully it is extensive for residential use to finally disconnect from the networks that increasingly charge taxes to those who generate energy from the sun...

  2. I'm a solar installer, I've been working with off-grid installations since 2014, there has always been a lack of quality and reliability in this type of equipment... I hope that these gaps will now be met with Renovigi entering this market. I already know the On Grid products and, if the off Grid products have the same quantity, it will benefit us (Installers) and especially our customers
