The search for installing photovoltaic systems in homes is growing exponentially in Brazil. Data from ANEEL (National Electric Energy Agency) point out that the residential class leads the ranking of installed power in DG (distributed generation) solar, with around 4,1 GW.
Guilherme Nagamine, director of L8 Energy, comments that as this type of system becomes more popular and gains market share, new products are also developed by the industry, bringing more efficiency to energy generation.
Among these solutions, he highlights solar tiles. “Solar tiles add design to the generation of renewable energy and produce 5% more energy than conventional modules made of silicon,” highlights Nagamine.
“This product is less susceptible to shadows, capturing diffused light, becoming more efficient in places with low light, regardless of the inclination of the sun's rays. Therefore, there is no need to change the architectural design so that the roof can generate energy”, he adds.
An example of this type of application is the 45,41 kWp project installed in the municipality of Jataí (GO), where solar tiles cover a large part of a residence. In total, 750 L8 solar tiles were used in a mixed photovoltaic system, which also has 58 395 Wp modules.
Currently, the residence's energy production is within the project forecast, with 5.500 kWh per month, enough to meet the family's demand. Nagamine reports that the owners will move into the house at the beginning of April with an accumulated credit of 70.000 kWh, as the roof installation was completed in November 2020 and the photovoltaic system was approved by the region's energy operator in December XNUMX. same year.
According to L8 Energy, solar tiles have a useful life of between 25 and 30 years, with a 10-year factory warranty. For Leandro Kuhn, CEO of L8 Group, as in the case of photovoltaic s, solar tiles also bring the certainty of savings in the medium and long term, but, for him, the great differential of this product is in its aesthetics.
