A Cesama (Municipal Sanitation Company) ed to the model of shared generation as an alternative to units operational of low tension of the PJF (Juiz de Fora City Hall) and may result in a reducing of 21,5% in de luz, from June.

The process was initiated at the end of 2023 and can generate a saving annual R $ 1,5 million for Cesama.

Another highlight of this change is the absence de investment by the companhia. “If we were to opt for generating our own energy, we would have um high spending with implementation, manutenção e Safety of these structures”, stated the automation and energy efficiency manager, Sérgio Queiroz.

The manager commented that after the installation in the units low voltage, the forecast is to give continuity to implant also in those of medium voltage

“Currently, we have 184 water and 15 sewage lifts, of these 199 operational units, only 24 are of medium voltage which, despite being in less quantity, consume a lot more energy”, said the engineer.

A forecast is to implement the model in all units de average voltage to 2025. With this change, the real nose s de light of the company “will be even more significant”, added Queiroz.
