The solar energy sector in Brazil is solid and has been growing significantly year after year. With this expansion of the photovoltaic source, technologies are becoming increasingly efficient, reflecting the investment cycle and bringing innovations to the sector, such as the solar lights from L8 Energy. The product features the expertise of the manufacturer Sunna Design, a French lighting company, and is already being distributed in the Brazilian market. According to the photovoltaic systems distributor, the light is ideal for use in construction sites and sports facilities.

In addition to being an investment option for remote areas, the equipment has an estimated useful life of 25 years. L8 engineer Weliton Maia explains that one of the main differences between the luminaires is their nickel metal hydride batteries, which, in addition to being recyclable, can operate at temperatures between -40°C and 70°C.

“The luminaire’s LED technology can increase the lamp’s power by two times thanks to the equipment’s intelligent modulation system. Another big difference is the Sunna Core intelligent controller that charges and controls battery discharge, through an algorithm that processes battery level data and weather history”, comments Maia.

“The equipment also has an anti-blackout function that ensures that there will be no power outages under any circumstances 365 days a year,” he adds.

Other features highlighted by the engineer are presence monitoring, integration of luminaires with totems, resistance to strong winds and practicality in installation. In addition to having monocrystalline silicon photovoltaic modules, ranging from 50 W to 160 W in the common line and reaching 320 W in the high power line.
