A Solar Americas Capital and Ambev announced the launch a solar power plant of 5 MW, with capacity to generate around 7.000 MWh of energy per year.

A installation is located in Macacu Waterfalls (RJ) and has approximately 9 thousand solar s installed at the Ambev factory.

"One of the main benefits of implementation behind-the-meter is related to the simultaneity between the energy generation and consumption, ensuring that Ambev has access to 100% certifiable and renewable energy, while benefiting from lower costs, eliminating the need for a transmission and distribution network”, says Christian Ferrari, Strategic Sourcing Director at Ambev.

"We are happy to see the results and to partner with Solar Americas in this long-term strategic project”, he adds.

"The project demonstrates Ambev's commitment to environmental protection and innovation. We are proud to be selected to work with such an excellent team at Ambev”, says Tiago Alves, Co-founder and Commercial Director of Solar Americas.

A photovoltaic solar energy addresses the energy trilemma by providing safety, economy and accessibility.

"Solar Americas co-finances, identifies, builds and manages solar assets for commercial and industrial partners, with a team with more than 25 years of experience working in the solar energy and financial markets in the United Kingdom and Brazil”, adds Alves.

"The launch of the Cachoeiras de Macacu solar plant marks a major step forward for Solar Americas, which remains committed to providing clean, renewable and affordable energy solutions to its customers around the world,” says José Tenório, Co-Founder and Chief Financial Officer of Solar Americas.
