JA Solar and (re)energisa sign an agreement for more than 400 MW

Partnership between the two companies celebrates five years in 2023

In partnership with JA Solar, one of the world's largest manufacturers of photovoltaic modules, (re)energisa will receive, by the end of this year, more than 400 MW of modules for use in GD (distributed generation) solar farms.

The partnership between the two companies dates back to 2018, when Alsol had not yet been acquired by the Energisa Group. In 2020, 535 W monofacial modules from JA Solar were supplied to (re)energisa.

Later, JA Solar supplied 550 W monofacial modules, and recently, 550W bifacial and 560W bifacial modules with NType technology, which advocate greater cell efficiency in a smaller space.

Fernando Castro, country manager for Brazil, praised the efforts and highlighted the brand’s commitment to meeting market expectations by offering quality, highly efficient and reliable products to customers. “We have a clear vision of the synergy between the companies, both seeking agility, innovation and customer focus with solutions of the highest quality and availability.”

In turn, Julio Pimenta, Supply Chain Manager at Grupo Energisa, responsible for (re)energisa's purchases, recalled the history of the Group created in 1905, its pioneering spirit and its DNA of innovation as a characteristic for transforming energy into comfort and development for people.

“(re)energisa is committed to delivering the best energy solution to its customers, in an integrated manner, with efficiency, agility and sustainability, acting as a protagonist in the energy transition. To achieve this, we count on strategic partners such as JA Solar, which provides modules of the highest quality, reliability and performance, helping our farms to stand out in energy generation.”
