On December 4th and 5th of this year, Alagoas hosted the 4th edition of Conexão Solar, which brought together more than 150 participants, including businesspeople, professionals and representatives of large entities in the photovoltaic sector.
Promoted by local leaders, with the of Sebrae, Canadian Solar and distributor Força e Luz, the event marked an important step in strengthening the segment in the State, with a series of technical and regulatory debates, practical workshops and strategic networking.
Held in Maceió (AL), at the Sebrae state headquarters, the congress had the following main objectives: to train professionals, foster strategic connections and consolidate the sector as a driver of sustainable development in the region.
Highlights and speakers
The program featured prominent names in the Brazilian solar sector, such as Bárbara Rubim, vice president of ABSOLAR (Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy), which opened debates on regulatory challenges and solutions to expand the photovoltaic market.

Raquel Rocha, from ABGD (Brazilian Association of Distributed Generation), provided a detailed view on public policies and regulations, pointing out specific opportunities for the State of Alagoas.
Representing the distributor Equatorial Energia, Fábio Fonseca analyzed the interaction between distributors and the solar market, while Rosa Tenório, from CREA Alagoas, reinforced the importance of technical training for local professionals.
Sérgio Arestides, from HT Energias, led a practical workshop on sales strategies, offering direct tools for entrepreneurs to apply in their businesses. Canadian Solar was also present, presenting innovations and solutions focused on distributed generation.
Focus on training and strategic development
The event was designed to go beyond traditional lectures. Practical and dynamic workshops, such as the construction of a matrix to map the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats of the solar sector in Alagoas, were one of the highlights of the program.
The aim, according to the organizers, was to bring technical and regulatory knowledge to the sector, enabling local engineers, technicians and entrepreneurs to face market challenges.
“The idea behind Conexão Solar has always been to raise the bar for the sector in Alagoas and begin to build a solid foundation for the sustainable development of solar energy in the state. We want entrepreneurs to understand not only the opportunities, but also the challenges, and to be prepared to act,” highlighted Ederaldo Pereira, one of the organizers of the meeting.

Conexão Solar had its first edition in July this year and, since then, it has been held twice more, in August and September.
By 2025, organizers plan to transform the event into a quarterly initiative, ensuring an ongoing space for debate, training and networking.
The idea for the event came from speaker and engineer Jessiane Pereira, after participating in the 3rd edition of Canal Connect, held at the beginning of the year in Recife (PE).
The event, sponsored by Canal Solar also focuses on training professionals in the photovoltaic sector and was the main inspiration for the development of Conexão Solar in Alagoas.

*I had the privilege of participating in the initial editions of CONEXÃO SOLAR in Alagoas. Our company is located in Aracaju /SE with extended services in Alagoas…
In the 3rd Edition; We were invited to bring a Training to the Sales Team… And, the TOPIC I CHOSE to address was: *”RAISE THE RULER – TEACH THE CUSTOMER TO BUY”*… The topic was very well used by everyone who was present in the CREA/AL Auditorium.
For the 4th Edition; we were invited to be one of the Speakers in the workshops offered during the 02 (two) days of the Event… And, with the THEME: “Stop Selling Solar Energy, Teach your Customer to Buy”… giving even more emphasis to the subject, in order to prepare the sales team for the challenges of price competition. Leaving this price competition, and starting to Deliver more Value…
