A solar energy sured the mark 46 GW of installed capacity in Brazil, according to a survey published by ABSOLAR (Brazilian Photovoltaic Solar Energy Association).

According to the entity, the photovoltaic sector nationally has already attracted more than BRL 214,9 billion in investments, generated more than 1,38 million jobs in the country and avoided the emission of 55,6 million tons of CO2 in electricity generation.

Additionally, the association highlights that businesses in the photovoltaic sector also guaranteed more than R$ 66 billion in revenue for public coffers, an amount that can be used for improvements in various social areas, such as health and education.

Only in this year, source has already added just over 9 GW to the national electricity matrix, adding the distributed and centralized generation segments. Currently, the share of solar energy in national electrical matrix is equivalent to 19,4%.

Na distributed generation, are 31,2 GW of installed power. This is equivalent to around R$150,6 billion in investments, R$44,9 billion in revenue and more than 936 thousand green jobs accumulated, spread across the five regions of Brazil.

Currently, the Solar technology is used in 99,9% of all micro and mini generation connections distributed in the country, easily leading the segment.

Already the large solar plants have approximately 14,9 GW of power in the country, with R$63,9 billion in accumulated investments and more than 447 thousand green jobs created.

Rodrigo SauaiaCEO of ABSOLAR, highlights that the protagonism of the solar fountain in the Brazilian energy transition contributes strongly for social, economic and environmental development, in all spheres of society.

“In addition to accelerating the decarbonization of economic activities and helping to combat global warming, solar sources play an increasingly strategic role in the competitiveness of productive sectors, relief for the family budget, energy independence and prosperity of nations”, explains the executive.

  2. Congratulations on the report. Many companies are engaged in this opening of the free energy market.

I have been part of this distributed GD Geração project since October last year.

Our companies have more than 100 plants already installed in Brazil and generating energy credits. I can the customer at one of our plants and send energy credits to their home or business.

I can get up to 15% discount for low voltage group B customers and up to 30% high voltage group A customers without having to install any equipment.

Anyone who wants to know our project as a client or investor just call me on Watts 51984863327
