The solar energy market has seen significant movements following statements by President Jair Bolsonaro and the sector's growth expectations released by ABSOLAR (Brazilian Association of Photovoltaic Solar Energy). One such example is the partnership signed this week between the Chinese manufacturer Growatt and the equipment distributor Aldo.
The agreement between the two companies provides for the sale of on and off grid inverters throughout the country, with local warranty, and technical assistance.
With the partnership, the Aldo Solar becomes the hub of Growatt in Brazil, with local stock and ready delivery of five Growatt inverter models for the off-grid entry-level market (3kW, 5kW, 8kW, 10kW and 12kW) and six on-grid, three single-phase (5kW, 6kW and 8kW) and three three-phase (20kW, 60kW and 75kW).
According to Frank Qiao, Growatt's international sales director, the partnership with Aldo will strengthen the Brazilian market.
“Growatt highly values the Brazilian market and we intend to be number one in market share by 2020. To achieve this goal, we will increase our investments in Brazil, including the offering of products and solutions aligned with the Brazilian market,” highlighted Frank.
“And this plan could not have started in a better way, through the union with Aldo Solar, a prominent, extremely professional company, with an excellent service, logistics and sales system, in addition to being one of the largest distributors in the Brazilian photovoltaic market. This partnership reflects great security and potential for us to grow together,” he added.
Aldo Pereira Teixeira, president and founder of Aldo Solar, commented on the positive impact of the agreement with the Chinese manufacturer on the country's solar energy sector. “The partnership with Growatt brings the certainty that we will deliver competitive solutions for the Brazilian distributed generation solar energy market, taking another step towards the development of the sector based on entry-level options with excellent cost-benefit for resellers and installers throughout the country,” Aldo highlighted.
“The difference with these inverters is the possibility of using the Growatt Online Smart Service (OSS) system, which allows you to monitor, manage and control photovoltaic systems remotely. With this partnership, we hope to further disseminate solar energy and offer excellent cost-benefit conditions for the production of clean, highly technological and cheaper energy to all Brazilians,” he added.
Currently, Aldo Solar already sells Growatt solar power generators with Growatt solar s. Trina Solar, Jinko Solar, BYD, among other brands. The manufacturer Growatt, which invests 10% of its capital annually in R&D, has been expanding its market in Latin America. In Brazil, it recently established a storage center and a service center in Mogi das Cruzes.
