Solar Group announces new CEO and foresees investment of R$ 18,7 million

Maurício Cunha assumes the mission of structuring the organization to meet the growing market demand

Solar Group, a manufacturer specializing in mounting systems for the solar energy market, has announced the hiring of Mauricio Cunha as the company's new CEO. The executive has 20 years of experience in multinationals and companies in the energy sector, with experience at companies such as ABB and Engie.

According to the company, Cunha's arrival aims to expand the metal structures business for photovoltaic projects in the Brazilian and South American markets, as well as strengthen the commercial, production and engineering teams.

Furthermore, the company's move aims to meet the growth in orders and reach the target of 200% growth in revenue this year.

Also according to Solar Group, the new CEO takes over the expansion schedule of the two photovoltaic fastening systems factories installed in Greater São Paulo (Santana do Parnaiba and Itapevi), with planned investments of around R$18,7 million in 2022.

“With our customers at the center of our decisions, our efforts will be directed towards expanding operations and investing in the organization’s human capital. We propose to increase the autonomy and responsibility of our employees, creating a space that prioritizes performance and greater empowerment for people to grow and develop”, comments Cunha.

Today, SolarGroup has around 410 employees and is involved in photovoltaic projects throughout Brazil and part of South America, totaling 2 GW sold in structures for self-generation electricity projects. “The company is also planning a series of new product and technology launches for the coming months,” concludes Cunha.
