The manufacturer of photovoltaic inverters SolaX Power announced a new development for the Brazilian solar market. Single-phase inverters below 10 kW are already in the testing phase with INMETRO (National Institute of Metrology, Quality and Technology).
“We expect to have all of them certified in one or two months. The X1 Boost family already has the certification, the X1 Smart should come into effect within a few weeks and the X1 Mini line will be missing,” says Luiz Felipe Kern Ribeiro, commercial and technical supervisor at SolaX Power.
According to Ribeiro, the evaluations are taking place in accredited Brazilian laboratories with the aim of adequately complying with all current regulations. There are approximately 20 different tests that examine efficiency, maximum power and disconnection from the grid in the event of a power outage.
SolaX estimates that, with the certification of inverters by INMETRO, it will be possible to establish new partnerships with distribution companies to market the manufacturer's products in the country without having to worry about bureaucracy. "The aim is to centralize these operations. This way, new and current distributors will not have to bear the costs involved and manage their renewal, greatly facilitating the bureaucratic part. This way, they will be able to focus essentially on their business", he added.
