Aiming to meet the growing demand in the energy storage market, Solmais Distribuidora is bringing to Brazil a complete mix of solutions that adapt to different types of projects and consumption profiles.

In a recent edition of the Papo Solar podcast, hosted by Canal Solar, Joaquim Fernandes, Business Director at Solmais, emphasized the availability of the new product line.

“We are ready to meet demand with hybrid and interactive off-grid inverters from the LuxPower and Must Energy brands. With these solutions, already available for pre-sale, we are able to guarantee availability to serve the entire market with this new business front.”

Regarding LuxPower, the product line includes 5 kW and 10 kW hybrid inverters, available in two-phase (split-phase) and single-phase 220 V versions, covering all states in Brazil.

There are also 5 kW interactive off-grid inverters in two-phase and single-phase voltages, in addition to the 5,12 kWh Wallbox battery with 6000 cycles, which can be scaled according to the needs of each project.

Regarding Must Energy, the company offers the single-phase 127V or 220V interactive off-grid line, as well as the 5,12 kWh lithium Wallbox battery, ideal for those looking for a cost-competitive solution.

“The complete line of interactive hybrid and off-grid inverters from LuxPower and Must is now available for pre-sale to meet a wide range of applications in all states of Brazil,” highlighted Fernandes.

Relevance of storage and current challenges

In recent years, the distributed generation market in Brazil has faced a series of transformations, driven by regulatory changes and restrictions on connection to the grid.

With these new rules, the implementation of on-grid systems faces challenges that, although they make some processes more difficult, open up a significant opportunity for energy storage technologies.

In this scenario, the search for hybrid and off-grid solutions is increasingly on the rise, generating a new market front that is redefining the generation and use of solar energy in Brazil.

Problems such as flow reversal, for example – which occurs when excess energy generated needs to be returned to the grid, creating overload – have become common.

Storage solutions emerge as an efficient answer to this problem, providing greater predictability and stability for both residential and commercial consumers.

Storage solutions also allow the creation of an emergency reserve, ensuring backup for essential loads and optimizing the use of the energy produced by storing it for later consumption.

In this way, consumers can ensure energy security and savings, becoming less dependent on the grid and more prepared to face fluctuations in supply.

Retrofit of on-grid systems

Another opportunity that is gaining traction in the market is the retrofit of on-grid systems. Consumers who already have solar generation systems connected to the grid can benefit from the addition of storage, guaranteeing an emergency reserve in cases of failures and blackouts.

Storage also allows for the optimization of investments by storing excess energy generated during the day for nighttime consumption, bringing savings and safety to homes and small and medium-sized businesses.

Expansion and opportunity for integrators

The energy storage market represents a growing opportunity for integrators and professionals in the solar sector. The ability to offer retrofits and upgrades to on-grid systems with storage solutions allows integrators to expand their customer base and add more value to projects.

“Solmais understands that storage is a current need in the sector, and not just a trend: “The present is to store and generate energy, and we at Solmais are here to ensure that all our partners and customers have the best solutions for this new reality”, concluded the company's Business Director.
