O solar energy market has presented a significant recovery in the first months of this year after difficulties faced by the sector during 2023. positive evaluation is from the photovoltaic module manufacturer Sunova.

The company estimates that this reheating will mean that the first half of 2024 will end with a considerable volume of agreed projects.

“The market is heating up again after a year in which we all went through difficulties. Now, we are prepared to meet all the demand that should come in the coming months”, Vinícius Goulart, engineer at Sunova.

For Sunova, the thermometer for this reheating was the Intersolar Summit Nordeste, held on April 10th and 11th in Fortaleza (CE). At the event, the manufacturer received about its products and also heard the opinion of integrators in the Northeast region.

During the days, the brand highlighted its module TOPCon with 66 cells (182.2×199 mm), which has SMBB technology (Super Multi Busbar) and can achieve a efficiency up to 22.8% e output power up to 590W.

“Comparing with 182 mm x 182 mm technology modules, it is possible to consider a best photovoltaic arrangement more efficient due to the lower Voc (open circuit voltage) and the low temperature coefficient (-0,30%/ºC of Pmax and -0,28%/ºC of Voc)”, explained Goulart.

“A SMBB technology allows a reduction in shading in the cells due to thinner conductors, shortened distance for current transmission and better current collection capacity, providing an increase in energy generation and efficiency”, he concluded.
