ABRACEEL (Brazilian Association of Energy Traders) holds an annual consultation with its to define the main action agendas for the following cycle. In a meeting held at the end of October, the traders elected energy pricing as a priority for 2025.

This is the first time in 20 years that the topic of improving governance, methodologies and pricing models has topped the list, suring ABRACEEL's historic banner for the full opening of the free energy market, defended by the association since its founding in 2000.

The traders highlighted the need to improve the quality and flow of information that impacts price formation, aiming to ensure greater transparency and equality in the simultaneous disclosure of data to the market.

In addition, they call for improvements to projection models, including input data, flows and processes, so that companies can simulate dispatch scenarios for hydroelectric and thermoelectric plants. These adjustments are essential for price projections and for the business strategies of energy traders.

Two other priorities were also elected: energy market security and increased efficiency and innovation in the national electricity sector.
