The elected president of the United States, Donald Trump, was sworn in for his second term on Monday (20). The ceremony marked the Republican's political return to power after four years of Joe Biden's istration.

During the ceremony, Trump said he would declare a national energy emergency and repeated his promise that his istration would increase investment in oil and gas on U.S. soil. 

The Republican stressed that he will do everything in his power to defeat inflation and to “reduce costs and prices”, especially energy, for the country's citizens.

“The inflationary crisis was caused by excessive spending and skyrocketing energy prices, which is why today I will also be declaring a national energy emergency,” Trump said. 

According to him, the US will once again become an industrial nation. “America is going to be a manufacturing nation again and we will have what no other nation has: the greatest amount of oil and gas on Earth. And we will use it,” he said. he. 

Withdrawal from the Paris Agreement
