UCB Power has launched USafety, its division specializing in anti-vandalism solutions. The product was created to meet the growing need to protect energy and telecommunications infrastructures against theft and vandalism, problems that compromise the availability of services, affecting the safety and operational efficiency of companies and essential services.

According to the manufacturer, USafety uses MABECE technology, which is patented for shielding. The potting method implements a technology that creates a high level of protection that prevents removal attempts without compromising the operating temperature or integrity of the devices, providing:

  • Isolation of battery cells, preventing unauthorized access and external damage;
  • Reinforced protection of cables and conductors against theft;
  • Applicability in various critical infrastructures, such as telecommunications and energy.

Outside Box: solution for outdoor environments

The Outside Box was developed for external applications and works as a power backup system with complete shielding and continuous monitoring. Compatible with lead-acid and lithium batteries, the solution ensures total protection and greater operational autonomy for equipment installed in risky locations.

Integrated GPS

To provide maximum tracking and security, USafety installs GPS devices inside the batteries before the shielding and bottling process. According to the company, this method prevents any attempt to tamper with or remove the tracker, enabling continuous monitoring and precise location of the equipment.

“With an unwavering commitment to safety and innovation, USafety reinforces the company’s position UCB Power as a leader in technology for energy storage and asset protection,” said Rosanio Cruz, the company’s Telecom and USafety director.
