A GT (working group), integrated by the MME (Ministry of Mines and Energy) and the BNDES (National Bank for Economic and Social Development), will be created to address important issues to leverage the energy transition.

Among the topics that will be debated are the Amazon Decarbonization program, the internalization of photovoltaic chainAs well as lithium chain, in addition to financing companies that operate in the construction of electrical power transmission lines.

One of the most important topics discussed at the meeting, which included the participation of minister Alexandre Silveira and the president of BNDES, Aloizio Mercadante, was the Amazon Decarbonization program, which will reduce the energy generated by oil-fired thermoelectric plants diesel consumed in the region.

It is estimated by the MME that, by 2030, oil-fired thermoelectric plants should generate only 20% of the energy consumed in the Amazon region. The program aims to replace these plants with solar s and biodiesel. The project is expected to generate R$10 billion in investments.

The importance of actions to internalize the photovoltaic chain, as well as the mineral chain to the energy transition, creating a supply and production chain within the extraction region itself and Brazil.

The working group will also work on financing in the energy transmission area, ing initiatives to boost the energy transition, with the increase in infrastructure for the flow of clean and renewable energy produced especially in the north of Minas Gerais and the Northeast region.
